Many negative rumors have been started by irresponsible people
who want to create a disturbance in this country.

One rumor said that another wave of bank closures would take
place, and still another had it that the President's health was
deteriorating.

I wonder why the community can be so easily duped by these
cheap rumors. Are their faith and morality so unstable that they
are readily vulnerable to any sort of rumors? We should use our
common sense in facing such baseless information, which has been
able to continuously weaken our rupiah. In such circumstances it
is Indonesia which will suffer the losses.

I would like to appeal to everybody that we should fortify
ourselves and strengthen our faith and dedication to God.
