Need to Extend Your Driving Licence? Check 5 Mobile SIM Locations in Jakarta Today Along with the Requirements

The Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police has reopened mobile driving licence (SIM Keliling) service counters at five strategic locations in Jakarta on Wednesday. The facility is provided to make it easier for the public to extend the validity period of the legal requirement for driving.

Based on official information from the TMC Polda Metro Jaya account on X, all mobile SIM service counters operate from 8am to 2pm Western Indonesia Time at the following locations.

Members of the public wishing to use this service are advised to prepare a number of required documents, including original identity cards and driving licences along with photocopies. In addition, applicants are required to fill in an application form and undergo a health check directly at the counter location.

This service is specifically intended for holders of Class A and Class C driving licences that are still valid. If the validity period of the document has expired, the owner must apply for a new driving licence at the Satpas SIM Daan Mogot in West Jakarta.

Regarding the cost of extending a driving licence, this provision refers to Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue, namely Rp80,000 for Class A and Rp75,000 for Class C.
