Nearly 10,000 Participants Attend Jogja Financial Festival
The enthusiasm of residents in Yogyakarta and surrounding areas for financial education has been immense. This is evidenced by the fact that almost 10,000 visitors were recorded attending the Jogja Financial Festival (JFF) 2026 at the Jogja Expo Centre (JEC) Bantul as of this afternoon.
Latif Harnoko, the Chairperson of the JFF 2026 organising committee, stated that the second day of the festival showed improved execution compared to the first day. “As the chairperson of the organising committee, I see that the process was better than the previous day,” Noko told reporters at the JEC on Saturday (23/5/2026).
“The number of visitors recorded at the entry-exit counters reached approximately 9,500 by 3:00 PM this afternoon. Therefore, I feel the enthusiasm is significantly increasing. Seeing university students and high school students attending and staying from morning until night is extraordinary in my view; it means the interest among the youth regarding financial literacy is truly remarkable,” he added.
The two-day Jogja Financial Festival 2026 featured a variety of engaging activities, including business talks, educational classes, and a career corner. “Earlier, I attended a class led by Mr Heri Gunardi, the Director of BRI, and Mr Chairul. The seats provided for the participants were almost 1,200, and it was full. In fact, many people could not even enter due to the capacity. This demonstrates the high level of interest; Alhamdulillah, Yogyakarta has been extraordinary for me,” Noko explained.
In addition to the educational sessions, participants enjoyed various forms of entertainment, including a live comedy show with ‘Lapor Pak’ on the first day. The event concluded with musical performances by Happy Asmara and Ari Lasso. The second day of the JFF continued with various interesting programmes, such as talk shows, business talks by ‘The Bankers’, and educational classes led by mentors from various fields. Other highlights included the ‘Arisan Financial’ segment hosted by Surya Insomnia, stand-up comedy by Kiky Saputri, and a closing concert featuring Silet Open Up and Juicy Lucy.
