NBA Asia names new managers
JAKARTA (JP): The National Basketball Association (NBA) of Asia has named three new senior managers in line with its growing activity across the continent.
Mike Dezel, formerly director and group manager of NBA Europe, based in Paris, was promoted last week to general manager of NBA Asia overseeing Hong Kong, the Philippines, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
John Rice, formerly marketing director of NBA Latin America, based in Miami, was named managing director of NBA Japan. Meanwhile, general manager of NBA Taiwan Mark Fischer was given added responsibilities as general manager of NBA China.
The NBA has been dubbed the world's largest organization devoted to the global performance and marketing of a single sport -- basketball. Its head office is in New York, with 10 regional offices worldwide to serve its international business. (amd)
