Nawakara Holds Security and Environmental Education in Four Regions
JAKARTA — PT Nawakara Perkasa Nusantara held a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme called Nawakara GEMILANG (Bright Indonesian Youth Movement) in four regions on Thursday, 22 October 2026. Marking the company’s 30th anniversary, the programme provided education on security, safety and environmental awareness for pupils in Years 4 to 6 of primary school.
The activities took place at SDN 05 Sentul in Bogor, West Java; SDN 45 Pekanbaru in Riau; SDN Kutisari II in Surabaya, East Java; and SDN 013 Balikpapan Kota in East Kalimantan. The programme was co-ordinated by Nawakara’s four regional offices, with the involvement of local partners in each area.
Pupils received instruction covering three areas: security, safety and the environment. The material was delivered interactively to help them identify risks and understand what they can do in everyday situations.
The security component introduced pupils to situations that could threaten their personal safety, as well as initial steps they could take when faced with an unsafe situation. The safety component addressed behaviours that can prevent accidents and protect themselves and others, both at school and at home.
The environmental component focused on cleanliness and conservation, including the habit of putting rubbish in the bin. Through these lessons, pupils were encouraged to recognise risks, make safer decisions and protect the environment through simple actions.
Nawakara Commissioner Chiquita Paramita Hindarto said the Nawakara GEMILANG programme formed part of the company’s social activities to mark three decades in business.
“As we enter our 30th year, we want to make Nawakara’s journey an opportunity to continue creating added value for the community. Through Nawakara GEMILANG, we are seeking to introduce an understanding of security, safety and environmental awareness from an early age. We hope this education will not end with activities at school, but will be applied in everyday life and become positive habits that children carry with them as they grow up,” she said.
Nawakara operates in the security services sector. Through the programme, the company is drawing on its expertise to provide educational material for pupils in the areas where it operates.
The programme covers personal security, accident prevention and environmental awareness. Activities in the four regions form part of the company’s CSR programme to introduce practical knowledge to school-age children.
