Navy arsenal explodes

JAKARTA (JP): A number of bullets of small caliber at the
Indonesian Navy arsenal at Marunda in North Jakarta went off
yesterday, but no fatalities were reported.

According to a fireman, the incident took place at one of the
dozens of buildings used to store armaments.

"We have been informed that it's a natural process," he said.

"It sounded like fireworks," said the fireman, adding that
three fire engines were sent to the fire site.

The explosion started at around 10 a.m. and went on for two
