Natuna SAR Office Searches for Missing Cargo Ship Carrying Four Crew Members

The Natuna Search and Rescue Office (KPP/SAR) in the Riau Islands Province is conducting a search operation for a cargo ship carrying four crew members. Head of the Natuna SAR Office, Abdul Rahman, confirmed on Saturday that his office received a report from the ship’s agent, PT Midai Putra. According to the agent, the vessel, named KM. Ocean Three, departed from Sedanau, Natuna, bound for Pemangkat, Sambas, on Wednesday afternoon (24/6) and was expected to arrive on Friday (26/6). However, by Saturday morning (27/6), the ship had not reached its destination. After receiving the report, the SAR office was informed of scattered fish containers found at coordinates 03°44’ N 108°29’ E. Following coordination with the ship’s agent, authorities in Sedanau confirmed that the debris belonged to the missing KM. Ocean Three. The Kantor SAR Natuna recorded that the 15-gross-tonnage cargo vessel was carrying four male crew members: Zaidan (47), Yoga (57), Arip (57), and Aldi (51). The last known position of the vessel was established at coordinates 03°44.000’ N 108°29.000’ E, with a heading of 151 degrees. The search operation is being assisted by the Ranai Naval Base (Lanal Ranai) and the Natuna chapter of the Indonesian Fishermen’s Association (HNSI). A joint SAR team has been deployed to the last known position where the debris was found to conduct the search.
