Jakarta (ANTARA) - The coach of the Indonesian national women’s team, Satoru Mochizuki, discovered many potential talents at the Hydroplus Soccer League (HPSL) event, who could potentially become part of the Garuda Pertiwi squad in the future.

Mochizuki, who attended the final week of the Hydroplus Soccer League at the Pusdikpom Field, Cimahi, West Java, on Saturday, said that he was helped by the existence of a tiered competition for young female players.

“From the thousands of athletes competing, we saw many potential talents emerge. Of course, we will continue to monitor their development and hopefully they can fill the Indonesian National Team squad in the future,” said Mochizuki, quoted from an official statement received in Jakarta on Saturday.

The coach from Japan assessed that youth competitions are very important for the development of Indonesian women’s football because they provide opportunities for players to gain regular match experience.

According to him, the existence of a competition like the Hydroplus Soccer League also helps the national coaching team monitor the development of potential young players from various regions.

“I am very grateful because this is important for the development of the Indonesian football ecosystem. I hope that this program will continue to be promoted so that it can be even better in the future,” he said.

The final week of the Bandung Hydroplus Soccer League also confirmed Mojang Priangan as the champion of the U-15 category after defeating Setia Srikandi with a score of 4-0.

Nayla Aulianti performed brilliantly by scoring two goals for Mojang Priangan, while the other two goals were contributed by Ranna Dzakira Silva and Fathin Rafifa Rabbani.

The victory made Mojang Priangan collect 46 points, the same as Goal Aksis, but with a better goal difference of 91 goals to 55 goals.

Meanwhile, in the U-18 category, Akademi Persib Bandung emerged as champions after collecting 40 points throughout the competition.

In the final match, Akademi Persib Bandung came back from behind to defeat Goal Aksis with a score of 3-1 through goals from Keyra Az-zahra, Dwi Aprilia Harahap, and Fatima Isya Daud.

The Hydroplus Soccer League is a U-15 and U-18 women’s football competition initiated by the Djarum Foundation Sports Charity and Hydroplus. The competition was held in Bandung, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Kudus since October 2025.

After winning the Bandung series, Mojang Priangan and Akademi Persib Bandung are entitled to compete in the Hydroplus Soccer League All-Stars in Kudus in July 2026.
