National Transportation Day 2026: Jakarta MRT Only Rp 1 All Day

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is implementing a special Rp 1 fare for Jakarta MRT services in commemoration of National Transportation Day 2026. This policy will apply on Friday (24/4/2026) from 05:00 WIB to 24:00 WIB, following the MRT Jakarta’s operational hours. Nevertheless, passengers are still required to perform tap in and tap out at the passenger gates when entering and exiting stations. Jakarta MRT provides various payment methods that customers can use during the implementation of this special fare. With this policy, all users can access Jakarta MRT services at the same fare without exceptions for payment methods. The implementation of the Rp 1 fare is part of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s efforts to encourage the public to switch to public transportation and strengthen the integrated transportation system in Jakarta. This step is also in line with the trend of increasing numbers of Jakarta MRT users. In March 2026, the number of passengers was recorded at 3,638,751 people with a daily average of 117,379 passengers. “Jakarta MRT ensures that services continue to operate according to operational standards by maintaining reliability, safety, and user comfort during the implementation of the special fare. Operational readiness is also carried out to anticipate the potential increase in the number of users at all stations and trains,” said Mega, quoted on Thursday (23/04/2026).
