National Traffic Police Chief Awards Samsat-Polda Coordinators for Service Innovations
The Head of the National Traffic Police of the Indonesian National Police, Irjen Agus Suryonugroho, presented awards to several regional police forces (Polda) across Indonesia. The appreciation was given for innovations by Polda units in Samsat services.
The certificate presentation took place during the National-Level Samsat Coordinator Coordination Meeting for the 2026 Fiscal Year at the Padma Hotel in Semarang City, Central Java, on Wednesday (22/4/2026). The event discussed various issues and provided solutions and innovations in Samsat operations.
The awards were handed over directly by Irjen Agus, the Director General of Regional Financial Education (BKD) of the Ministry of Home Affairs Agus Fatoni, and the President Director of PT Jasa Raharja Muhammad Awaluddin to the Samsat coordinators and Polda that were deemed outstanding.
The Polda and Samsat coordinators that received the awards include the Samsat Coordinator of North Maluku Province, the Samsat Coordinator of South Kalimantan Province, the Samsat Coordinator of Banten Province, the Samsat Coordinator of DIY Province, Central Java Police, and the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of South Kalimantan Police.
The Samsat Coordinator of South Kalimantan Province received the award for the innovation of floating Samsat services for island communities.
The Samsat Coordinator of Banten Province received the award for the ‘Samsat Ceria’ innovation. Meanwhile, the Samsat Coordinator of DIY Province received the award for achieving the best compliance rate.
From the police element, Central Java Police won the award as a pioneer in utilising Samsat funds for independent certification of STNK-issuing officers to enhance Samsat services.
In addition, the Criminal Investigation Directorate of South Kalimantan Police received the award for successfully uncovering criminal acts of forging STNK and BPKB materials.
Irjen Agus also emphasised the importance of collaboration between central and regional agencies to improve services to the public. According to him, solid coordination is key to avoiding conflicts in the field.
“We reiterate that coordination and collaboration in the Samsat sector must be even better. So there should be no conflicts, and colleagues can work smoothly,” said Irjen Agus at the Padma Hotel in Semarang on Wednesday (22/4/2026).
Irjen Agus also highlighted the importance of a digital leap in the Samsat service system. He hopes that existing innovations can continue to be developed, including in facilitating motor vehicle tax payments.
“With the digital leap, everyone can level up well,” he added.
