National Tax Brevet Scholarship Programme Officially Launched
The Indonesian Tax Consultants Community Goes to AOTCA (Kopijatigota) has officially launched the Bakti Negeri Tax Brevet Scholarship Programme, an initiative aimed at broadening Indonesian students’ access to tax education and certification. Through this programme, students have the opportunity to obtain a full scholarship worth Rp3.5 million to improve their taxation competencies while preparing to enter the professional world. Kopijatigota Chairman Rahmad Adam explained that the programme represents a concrete contribution from the tax consultant community in supporting the emergence of superior human resources ready to meet the evolving needs of the taxation industry. “We want to pave the way for students to acquire the competencies needed by the job market while still in university. Through this scholarship, they not only gain taxation knowledge but also the foundation to build a career as professional tax practitioners. This is the first time a tax brevet scholarship has existed in Indonesia,” Adam stated on Friday (5/6). The programme is organised in collaboration with Ravatra Academy, an officially licensed tax training institution. Its arrival has received a positive response from students across various regions. Ahead of the first class, 24 participants have been confirmed as scholarship recipients out of the total available quota of 30 individuals. According to Adam, the beneficiaries began the learning process on 5 June 2026. All tax brevet materials will be delivered by instructors from Kopijatigota’s professional network, ensuring participants gain not only theoretical understanding but also practical experience relevant to real-world conditions. “We want participants to gain an applicable learning experience. Therefore, the instructors come from practitioners and Kopijatigota members with experience handling various taxation issues. The hope is that students will be better prepared to meet the demands of the workforce after completing this programme,” he said. He added that the high level of student interest demonstrates that taxation is increasingly viewed as a profession with promising career prospects. Tax brevet graduates not only have the opportunity to become tax consultants but can also pursue careers in companies, public accounting firms, and government agencies requiring taxation expertise. Participants who successfully passed the selection process come from various universities across Indonesia. One of them is Erlina Agustia Panjaitan, a student at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Raja Ali Haji Maritime University. She considers this programme an important opportunity to strengthen her taxation skills before entering the workforce. “I am very grateful to be one of the recipients of this scholarship. Opportunities like this do not come often, especially for students who want to deepen their tax knowledge but face financial limitations. I hope the knowledge gained will serve as a foundation for developing a career in taxation,” said Erlina. Another scholarship recipient, Resky, a student from the Accounting Study Programme at STIE TDN Makassar, believes the programme initiated by Kopijatigota provides a deeper and more work-relevant understanding of taxation. He learned about the programme through a lecturer on his campus and promptly registered. “In my opinion, this programme is very beneficial because it gives students the opportunity to study taxation more deeply. Competencies like these are highly sought after in the professional world. I hope that after completing the tax brevet, I will have added value and broader job opportunities after graduation,” he said. Adam noted that the enthusiasm from students across various regions indicates a growing awareness among the younger generation of the importance of mastering taxation knowledge as a competitive asset in the professional era. Therefore, Kopijatigota is committed to presenting programmes that are widely accessible without geographical barriers. “We want the opportunity to study taxation not to be enjoyed only by students in large cities. Through online classes, students from various regions have equal access to improve their competencies and expand their career opportunities,” said Adam. The entire training series is conducted online so that participants from various regions in Indonesia can join. The learning materials cover taxation theory and practice relevant to industry needs, from understanding regulations to their application in business activities. Looking ahead, Adam hopes the Bakti Negeri Tax Brevet Scholarship Programme will not only help students obtain competency certification but also become a strategic step in preparing a new generation of tax practitioners capable of supporting tax compliance and national economic growth. “We want to produce more young talent with tax competencies who are ready to contribute to the nation. This is a form of Kopijatigota’s service to strengthen the quality of Indonesia’s tax human resources,” he concluded.
