National Security Stable and Under Control Ahead of 81st Independence Day, Says Government
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Qodari, stated that national security stability is in a steady and controlled condition ahead of the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence.
Qodari in Jakarta on Monday urged the public to remain calm and wise in receiving various information circulating, especially through social media.
“The public is expected to remain calm and wise in receiving various information circulating, particularly on social media. It is important for all of us to always check the source, time, and context of information before concluding or disseminating it,” said Qodari.
According to him, the government together with security forces continues to take anticipatory measures to ensure that the entire series of activities commemorating the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence proceeds safely, orderly, and conducively.
“A healthy digital space is a shared responsibility. The government will continue to convey information openly, quickly, and based on facts,” he said.
He expressed hope that the public will continue to carry out their daily activities normally by following information sourced from official government channels.
Qodari also affirmed that the government respects the right of every citizen to express opinions as guaranteed by the constitution.
Furthermore, Qodari invited the public to welcome the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence with a spirit of unity, mutual cooperation, and togetherness.
“Let us make the momentum of the 81st anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia an opportunity to strengthen our love for the homeland and shared optimism in building an increasingly advanced Indonesia,” he said.
Qodari invited the public to celebrate independence in an orderly manner and maintain unity as part of efforts to build a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia.
