National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit Brings 11 Members of a Drug Syndicate Arrested in Samarinda to Jakarta
As observed by detikcom at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) building in Jakarta, these 11 suspects from the drug syndicate arrived at 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 16th, 2026. They were transported using a Hiace vehicle. The identities of the suspects are as follows:

Upon arrival at Bareskrim, the suspects were seen walking with a limp as they exited the vehicle. Their legs were bandaged due to measures taken by the police. The suspects’ hands were also tied with cable ties. They were immediately escorted into the elevator and taken for questioning in the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Directorate of Bareskrim Polri.
In addition to bringing the 11 suspects, the police also brought out several pieces of evidence bound with yellow tape. There were also several large bags and suitcases that were unloaded from the vehicle.
The Head of Unit 2, Sub-Directorate 4, Directorate of Narcotics Criminal Investigation at Bareskrim Polri, AKBP Bayu Putra Samara, explained that this arrest was carried out by Unit 4 and the NIC Task Force of the Directorate of Narcotics Criminal Investigation at Bareskrim Polri. The 11 suspects were apprehended in Gang Langgar, Samarinda.
“In this operation, we successfully arrested 13 suspects, consisting of 11 members of a drug syndicate and 2 users, along with evidence of narcotics,” said Bayu to reporters at Bareskrim Polri.
Bayu stated that the drug syndicate in Samarinda was quite elusive. According to him, the suspects had been targeted for arrest several times but always managed to escape.
However, this time, they were all successfully apprehended by the police. He mentioned that a complete explanation regarding the handling of this case will be provided directly by the Director of Narcotics Criminal Investigation at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso.
“This syndicate was quite elusive because several times the local police conducted operations but were unsuccessful,” said Bayu.
“For a more complete release, it will be conveyed directly by Mr. Director of Narcotics Criminal Investigation at Bareskrim Polri,” he added.
