National Police's Criminal Investigation Bureau Pursues Drug Network Fugitive Boy in Ko Erwin Case
The remnants of drug trafficking network leader Erwin Iskandar, known as Ko Erwin, are now being pursued by police. Two of those who have come onto police radar are A Hamid, alias Boy, and Satriawan.
“The combined team from Subdirectorate IV and the NIC Task Force of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at the Criminal Investigation Bureau is currently conducting intensive searches and pursuit operations against wanted persons A Hamid, alias Boy, and wanted person Satriawan, alias Awan,” said Brigjen Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police Criminal Investigation Bureau, in a statement on Monday (9 March 2026).
Eko stated that police are searching for both of them in major cities and remote areas. Both are being sought from Jakarta to Kalimantan.
“Amongst other locations in Jabodetabek, West Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, and North Sumatra. We are anticipating that the wanted persons may attempt to flee the country through illegal routes in the Kalimantan and North Sumatra regions, consistent with the flight path of suspect Ko Erwin,” he added.
It is known that A Hamid, alias Boy, played a role in providing Rp 1.8 billion as protection money to the former Police Chief of Bima City, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, through the former Head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police, AKP Malaungi. The money was handed over at an Uma Lengge (a traditional Bima house) located within the Bima City Police headquarters compound.
The characteristics of A Hamid, alias Boy, include a height of approximately 171 centimetres, stocky build, and wavy black hair. Additionally, he has a complexion typical of Southeast Asian descent (sawo matang), round eyes, an oblong face, thick eyebrows, and no distinguishing marks.
Meanwhile, Satriawan fled during a search at the house of Anita, the wife of a police officer, on Saturday (24 January) last. His characteristics include a height of 160 centimetres, one missing upper front tooth, fair skin, short salt-and-pepper hair with slight baldness, ordinary eyes, and a distinctive large scar on his leg.
Malaungi and Didik have been named as suspects. The investigation revealed the involvement of a trafficker named Ko Erwin.
Ko Erwin allegedly provided Rp 1 billion to Didik Putra Kuncoro to facilitate his illegal business operations. Subsequently, Ko Erwin supplied 488 grammes of methamphetamine to Malaungi for distribution to Sumbawa Island.
Not only from Ko Erwin, Didik is also alleged to have received Rp 1.8 billion from a methamphetamine dealer named Boy. Boy remains subject to police pursuit operations.
