National Police Traffic Corps terminates national one-way scheme this afternoon
Karanganyar (ANTARA) - The National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) has terminated the one-way traffic engineering or national one-way return flow from KM 414 Gerbang Tol (GT) Kalikangkung, Semarang, to KM 70 GT Cikampek Utama on Wednesday afternoon.
“This afternoon, we are also carrying out further normalisation. Previously, the termination of the one-way was from KM 414 to KM 263; from 263, we are normalising again and sterilising up to KM 70,” said Head of Korlantas Polri Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho in Karanganyar, Central Java, on Wednesday.
He stated that this termination of traffic engineering is due to the traffic situation having eased after the peak return flow on Tuesday (24/3).
“This morning, we conducted an analysis and evaluation of traffic counting passing through GT Banyumanik and Kalikangkung, which is quite smooth and normal,” he said.
Furthermore, he revealed that a contraflow traffic engineering on one lane is still in effect from KM 70 to KM 55 on the Trans-Java Toll Road.
“Likewise, for those from West Java, we are still implementing it and opening the functional Japek II South Toll from Sadang, Deltamas to Setu, and then they can enter JORR,” he added.
Previously, on Tuesday (24/3), Korlantas Polri implemented the national one-way engineering from KM 414 to KM 70.
This implementation was officially opened by National Police Chief General of Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo together with the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and several related institutions.
The National Police Chief stated that the one-way was implemented starting from KM 414 GT Kalikangkung Semarang to KM 70 GT Cikampek Utama. After GT Cikampek Utama, he continued, traffic engineering will be carried out to prevent congestion towards Jakarta.
