The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) is continuing to mature its steps towards the implementation of the Zero Over Dimension and Over Loading 2027 programme through the strengthening of technology-based surveillance and law enforcement systems. One of the efforts being undertaken is the coordination regarding the readiness of strengthening Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement Weight in Motion (ETLE WIM) technology.

The meeting took place at the PT Hutama Karya (Persero) office in Jakarta on Monday (8/6/2026). Present at the event were the Sub-Director of Law Enforcement of the Korlantas Polri Traffic Law Enforcement Directorate, Kombes Dwi Sumrahadi Rakhmanto, and the National Police Policy Arranger TK III of Korlantas Polri, Kombes Bayu Pratama Gubunagi.

The meeting discussed various aspects of ETLE WIM implementation readiness, ranging from infrastructure support and technology integration to the potential development of surveillance points for freight vehicles on toll roads managed by PT Hutama Karya. This step is part of a shared commitment to support the creation of a safe, orderly, and sustainable transport system ahead of the full implementation of the Zero Over Dimension and Over Loading 2027 policy.

During the occasion, Kombes Dwi Sumrahadi stated that ETLE WIM technology plays a strategic role in supporting law enforcement against violations by freight vehicles that exceed dimension or load limits. “Preparations towards Zero ODOL 2027 require strong collaboration between all stakeholders. Through this survey, we want to ensure the readiness of systems and infrastructure that will support the implementation of technology-based law enforcement effectively, transparently, and sustainably,” he said.

He added that the implementation of ETLE WIM aims not only to increase compliance among transport businesses but also serves as a preventive measure to reduce the risk of traffic accidents and maintain the quality and lifespan of road infrastructure services.

Meanwhile, Kombes Bayu Pratama Gubunagi emphasised that technological strengthening is a key factor in the successful implementation of the Zero Over Dimension and Over Loading 2027 programme. “The development of ETLE WIM is part of the digital transformation in the field of traffic. The synergy between Korlantas Polri and PT Hutama Karya is expected to strengthen the use of technology and data to support more optimal and integrated surveillance of freight vehicles,” said Kombes Bayu Pratama Gubunagi.

He added that cross-sector collaboration is essential so that the Zero Over Dimension and Over Loading 2027 policy can run effectively, while simultaneously providing benefits for road user safety and the sustainability of national transport infrastructure.

During the discussions, all parties exchanged views regarding opportunities for developing ETLE WIM-based vehicle surveillance technology on strategic toll roads managed by PT Hutama Karya. Furthermore, steps for coordination and system integration were discussed to support the implementation of the national policy towards Zero Over Dimension and Over Loading 2027.

Through this coordination activity, Korlantas Polri and PT Hutama Karya have demonstrated a mutual commitment to achieving Zero Over Dimension and Over Loading 2027. With the strengthening of ETLE WIM technology, it is hoped that the surveillance system for freight vehicles will operate more effectively, thereby increasing traffic safety, reducing violations, maintaining the quality of national road infrastructure, and supporting the creation of a safe, orderly, and sustainable logistics transport system.
