National Police Traffic Corps Officially Halts National One-Way Scheme on KM 70-KM 414
With the permission of Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the homecoming or national one-way traffic flow has been temporarily closed as of 1:22 PM WIB,” said Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho at the Command Centre Post KM 29 on the Cikampek Toll Road, West Java, on Friday. Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) has officially halted the one-way traffic engineering scheme, or national one-way, which began from KM 70 at the Cikampek Main Toll Gate, West Java, to KM 414 at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate, Semarang, Central Java. He stated that this suspension was based on an evaluation showing that traffic conditions were sufficiently smooth and under control. “So now, traffic conditions are normal, both towards Jakarta and towards Semarang,” he added. It is known that the national one-way scheme was officially implemented on the Trans-Java Toll Road on Wednesday (18/3), starting from KM 70 at the Cikampek Main Toll Gate, West Java, to KM 414 at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate, Semarang, Central Java. Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi stated that the implementation of this traffic engineering was a form of the state’s presence to ensure the best service for the public undertaking homecoming travel. He explained that the engineering had actually been carried out since Tuesday (17/3), but only in segments, namely from KM 70 to KM 263 on the Trans-Java Toll Road. However, a more extensive one-way implementation was applied because the volume of homecoming vehicles using the Trans-Java Toll Road towards Central Java had already increased.
