National Police Traffic Corps Chief Leads Handover, Stresses Cohesion and Resilience
The Chief of the National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas Polri), Inspector General Wibowo, led the inauguration and handover ceremony for several Principal Officials of the Traffic Corps at the NTMC Korlantas Polri grounds. Inspector General Wibowo called on the officials to carry out their mandate with sincerity and to prioritise collaboration.
During the ceremony, Inspector General Wibowo installed Brigadier General Komarudin as the Director of Registration and Identification (Dirregident) of the Traffic Corps and Senior Commissioner Budi Santosa as the Head of the Planning and Administration Bureau (Kabag Renmin). In addition to the inauguration, a handover of the position of Head of the Operations Bureau (Kabag Ops) was conducted from Senior Commissioner Aries Syahbudin to Senior Commissioner Turmudi.
In his directives, Inspector General Wibowo stressed that job rotation is part of efforts to strengthen the organisation. He invited all newly appointed officials to carry out their mandate with sincerity, prioritise collaboration, and uphold the institution’s dignity. “Let us carry out our duties sincerely, collaborate, and maintain the dignity of the National Police. No one walks alone; we work together to transform the Traffic Corps for the better,” he said.
Furthermore, Inspector General Wibowo encouraged all personnel to learn from the cassava plant as a symbol of simplicity, adaptability, humility, and resilience in facing various challenges. “Learn from the cassava. We can learn from the cassava, we can understand the meaning of life values, we can learn about simplicity, humility, adaptation, and we can also learn about toughness,” he asserted.
The inauguration and handover procession proceeded solemnly. The series of activities began with the reading of the National Police Chief’s Decree, followed by the taking of the oath of office, the signing of the official handover minutes, the oath of office minutes, and the signing of the integrity pact by the newly appointed officials.
