National Police Promote 87 High-Ranking Officers, Four Achieve Commissioner General Rank

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo led a promotion ceremony for Polri personnel at the National Police Headquarters on Tuesday (30/6). A total of 41,578 Polri personnel received promotions during this period, including 87 high-ranking officers (Pati).

Head of the Polri Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that the promotions are a form of trust and a mandate from the institution that must be realised through improved quality of service to the public.

“This promotion is not merely a reward for a career path, but also a mandate carrying greater responsibility. We hope that all promoted personnel will continue to strengthen their integrity, professionalism, and leadership in providing protection, guidance, and the best service to the community,” Isir said.

Among the 87 high-ranking officers promoted, four achieved the rank of Commissioner General (Komjen), the three-star rank within the police force. The four new Komjens are Mulia Hasudungan Ritonga, Helmy Santika, Gatot Tri Suryanta, and Rudi Setiawan. Additionally, 29 officers were promoted to the rank of Inspector General (Irjen) and 54 to the rank of Brigadier General (Brigjen).

Beyond the high-ranking officers, the promotions also included 878 middle-ranking officers, 1,289 first officers, and 37,930 non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel. Isir emphasised that the promotion is a symbol of the institution’s appreciation for the personnel’s dedication and achievements, and a momentum to strengthen the spirit of service. “The trust given by the state and the institution must be answered with increasingly optimal performance. Make this promotion a motivation to continue presenting a Polri that is responsive, humanist, professional, and increasingly trusted by the public,” he said.
