National Police Predicts 1.75 Per Cent Drop in Lebaran 2026 Migration Movement
The Indonesian Ministry of Transportation estimates the potential movement of people during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming and return migration season will reach 143.9 million, representing a 1.75 per cent decrease compared to 2025. Despite the projected decline in migration volume, National Police Deputy Commander General Dedi Prasetyo stated that police will implement strategic measures, including deploying 161,243 combined personnel as part of Operation Ketupat 2026 to ensure public safety and manage traffic during the holiday season.
