Jakarta (ANTARA) — The National Police of the Republic of Indonesia are hunting a drug network dealer with the initials E, suspected of being the supplier of illicit substances in the case involving inactive Bima City Police Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Didik Putra Kuncoro (DPK).

“Based on the results of examinations so far, the evidence found in Adj. Sr. Comr. DPK’s possession was obtained from suspect Adj. Comr. ML (Malaungi), originating from one of the network’s key figures with the initials E,” said National Police Public Relations Division Chief Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir in Jakarta on Sunday evening.

According to him, the network is being investigated by the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) together with the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Narcotics Division (Ditresnarkoba). He affirmed the National Police’s commitment to uncovering the drug network linked to the dealer identified as E.

“The full profile of the dealer with the initials E has already been established. The pursuit and arrest are currently underway,” he explained.

He also called for support from the public. “We ask for the prayers and support of the entire community as part of our commitment to wage a total war against the illicit trafficking and abuse of narcotics that endanger the Indonesian nation’s future generations,” he said.

The Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate announced on Friday (February 13) the naming of Adj. Sr. Comr. Didik as a suspect in alleged drug possession. The case unfolded from the arrest of two household assistants belonging to police suspect Brig. IR and his wife, AN, with 30.415 grams of methamphetamine seized as evidence at the couple’s private residence.

From the interrogation conducted by the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Narcotics Division, the involvement of Adj. Comr. Malaungi (ML) in the network was uncovered. Subsequent examination by the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Professional and Security Division of Adj. Comr. ML returned positive results for amphetamine and methamphetamine. A search of Adj. Comr. ML’s office and official residence then uncovered five packages of methamphetamine weighing 488.496 grams. It was from there that Adj. Sr. Comr. Didik’s involvement was traced.

“Based on statements from Adj. Comr. ML, there is involvement of Adj. Sr. Comr. DPK in this alleged narcotics abuse,” Johnny said.

A joint team from the National Police Professional and Security Division’s Internal Affairs Bureau and the Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate subsequently conducted a search of Adj. Sr. Comr. DPK’s private residence in Tangerang on Wednesday (February 11). At the location, investigators found 16.3 grams of methamphetamine, 50 ecstasy pills, 19 alprazolam pills, 2 happy five pills, and 5 grams of ketamine.
