National Police Headquarters Receives Report from JK Regarding Alleged Hoax by Rismon Sianipar
Indonesia’s National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) has received a report from the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla (JK), regarding allegations of hoax dissemination and defamation by Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar. The report, submitted directly by JK to Bareskrim, is recorded under number LP/B/135/IV/2026/SPKT/Bareskrim Polri. “I am reporting Rismon Sianipar for his actions that I consider harmful to me because he said I funded Roy Suryo and his associates regarding Pak Jokowi’s diploma,” JK stated after filing the report on Wednesday (8/4). JK deemed the allegations highly unethical and insulting to him, especially since he had served as Jokowi’s vice president for five years. “It is very unethical for me; Pak Jokowi is the President whom I represented. We were together in the government for five years,” he said. “How could I pay someone Rp5 billion to investigate him? That is inappropriate and impossible for me to do. It is an insult and damages my dignity,” he added. In addition to Rismon, JK also reported a YouTube account named Studio Musik Rock Ciamis and a Facebook account named 1922 Pusat Madiun. In the report, he submitted several pieces of evidence in the form of video recordings of the accusations as the funder of the Jokowi diploma case. Previously, Rismon denied mentioning the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, as the funder of the alleged fake diploma case of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. Rismon’s lawyer, Jahmada Girsang, emphasised that his client never made such a statement. He claimed that the video clips circulating on social media were the result of Artificial Intelligence (AI) manipulation. “It’s all AI processing; Rismon never mentioned Pak JK’s name,” he told reporters on Sunday (5/4).
