Indonesia’s National Police Bareskrim unit has arrested fugitive drug trafficker Koh Erwin, alias Erwin Iskandar, who is suspected of transferring money to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.

The Director of the Narcotics Crime Unit at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the arrest was carried out by a joint team from the Satgas NIC and Sub-Directorate IV.

“It is confirmed that the wanted person Erwin has been arrested by the joint team of Sub-Directorate IV and Satgas NIC of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri,” he said in a written statement on Friday (27 February).

Eko stated that Koh Erwin is currently being brought to Bareskrim Polri for further investigation. He noted that during the arrest operation, investigators also apprehended two other individuals who assisted in planning Erwin’s escape.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri had named the former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra as a suspect in drug abuse.

Didik stored a suitcase containing narcotics that was entrusted to Aipda Dianita in Tangerang, Banten.

Drug evidence discovered included crystal methamphetamine weighing 16.3 grammes, 49 ecstasy tablets and 2 tablets of residual consumption (23.5 grammes), 19 Aprazolam tablets, 2 Happy Five tablets, and 5 grammes of ketamine.

Didik also tested positive for drug use based on hair follicle drug testing conducted at a laboratory.

In addition, Didik was named as a suspect for receiving proceeds from narcotics crime by the NTB Regional Police on Monday (16 February). Didik allegedly received narcotics proceeds from trafficker Koh Erwin totalling 2.8 billion rupiah through his subordinate AKP Malaungi, who served as the Head of the Narcotics Division at Bima City Police. The money was received by Didik during the period from June to November 2025.

Didik has since been dismissed dishonourably from the police force. He is currently being detained at Bareskrim Polri detention facility.
