National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Pursues Rendy Hermawan, Right-Hand Man of Drug Lord Andre 'The Doctor'
The Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) is pursuing Rendy Hermawan, the right-hand man of drug lord Andre Fernando ‘The Doctor’. Rendy is now on the wanted persons list (DPO).
“Rendy Hermawan, who is the right-hand man of the DPO named Andre ‘The Doctor’,” said Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso in his statement on Friday (27/3/2026).
Eko stated that Rendy plays an important role in the drug distribution carried out by Andre. His last known location has been identified.
“He has roles including as a recruiter for the syndicate providing holding bank accounts for drug transactions. His last known position is in Malaysia,” he explained.
Eko added that Rendy is currently being hunted. The police have communicated with Malaysian police to handle this matter.
“Dittipidnarkoba has coordinated with PDRM (Royal Malaysia Police) through the International Police Division of Polri to request assistance in capturing the DPO,” he said.
The issuance of Rendy’s DPO status is contained in the letter DPO/37/III/2026/Dittipidnarkoba dated 13 March 2025. The letter was signed by Deputy Head of Subdirectorate IV Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri Commissioner Handik Zusen, who is leading the investigation.
“Rendy Hermawan is to be monitored/arrested/surrendered/informed of his whereabouts to the investigators/assisting investigators at the above police office, with contact number 081385277785,” the DPO letter states.
Police have also released a photo of Rendy’s face, along with his age of 35 years and height of 170 cm, weight 70 kg. He is known to have straight black hair, slanted eyes, a prominent nose, and lips that are not too thick.
Andre’s Role
Bareskrim Polri has also issued DPO status for Andre Fernando alias ‘The Doctor’ (32). Andre is said to be a distributor who supplies methamphetamine to drug lord Erwin Iskandar alias Ko Erwin.
The issuance of Andre’s DPO status is contained in the letter DPO/32/III/Dittipidnarkoba dated 1 March 2026. The letter was signed by Deputy Head of Subdirectorate IV Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri Commissioner Handik Zusen, who is leading the investigation.
“Andre Fernando is to be monitored/arrested/surrendered/informed of his whereabouts to the investigators/assisting investigators at the above police office, with contact number 081385277785,” the DPO letter states, quoted on Monday (2/3).
Andre Fernando is known to reside in the Cempaka Baru area, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. ‘The Doctor’ has physical characteristics of a height of 165 cm with a weight of around 70 kg, as well as short black hair and sallow skin.
Andre became a DPO in a narcotics case involving drug lord Ko Erwin. The Ko Erwin case also implicated former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro and former Bima City Police Narcotics Unit Head AKP Malaungi.
Andre is said to be the figure who supplies the methamphetamine purchased by Ko Erwin for distribution in the Bima area, NTB. Ko Erwin is known to have conducted two transactions with Andre in January 2026.
The first transaction was worth Rp 400 million for 2 kg of methamphetamine. Then, the second transaction was Rp 400 million for 3 kg of methamphetamine received.
Director of Narcotics at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso stated that Andre is known by the nickname ‘The Doctor’. He acts as a distributor who brings narcotics into Indonesia via land routes and cargo.
“Ko Andre or ‘The Doctor’ supplies various types of drugs including methamphetamine, vapes containing etomidate, and happy water,” said Eko in his statement.
Ko Andre, Eko continued, has a network in the Riau area. He imports vape cartridges containing etomidate under brands Ferrari and Lamborghini via sea routes from Malaysia through Dumai, Riau.
“Meanwhile, for (shipments of) the narcotic type methamphetamine, they are mostly sent using air cargo that is packed (then) inserted into dolls and wrapped in gift boxes,” Eko revealed.
