National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Busts Ecstasy Distribution at Bali Nightclub
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) has dismantled a clandestine ecstasy distribution network at the N CO Living by NIX nightclub in Badung Regency, Bali, involving the manager and nightclub staff.
Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General of Police Eko Hadi Santoso, stated in Jakarta on Monday that the Subdit IV team of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri, along with the NIC Task Force, uncovered the case after conducting investigations and inquiries following a public report received on 20 March 2026.
“A total of three suspects were secured at three crime scenes,” Eko said.
He explained that the first suspect, initialled BCA, acted as the Captain of N CO Living by NIX or the liaison between drug dealers and guests.
BCA was arrested at the crime scene in Room 303 of N CO Living by NIX, Kerobokan, Badung Regency, Bali.
The second suspect, initialled NGR, was arrested in Room 301 of N CO Living by NIX, and the third suspect, initialled SW, served as the manager of N CO Living by NIX, who was aware of and permitted the drug distribution in the nightclub.
Eko detailed that after receiving the public report regarding drug trafficking at the nightclub, a joint team led by Senior Commissioner of Police Kevin Leleury conducted investigations to verify the information and identify the parties involved in the drug distribution at the location.
“On 30 March, the joint team carried out observations and mapping of the area, as well as identifying targets suspected of being drug dealers at N CO Living by NIX,” he said.
On 1 April 2026, investigators conducted undercover operations and pretended to purchase 10 ecstasy pills through a ladies’ companion (LC) at the nightclub.
After the order was placed, the LC contacted the Captain of N CO Living by NIX for assessment, and then an apothecary arrived bringing the drugs into the room.
On Thursday (2/4) at 01:15 WIB, the joint team conducted a raid and secured the apothecary initialled NGR.
“The search of suspect NGR yielded evidence of 10 pink-coloured ecstasy pills marked Heineken and cash of Rp10 million from drug sales at the club,” he stated.
From NGR’s arrest, the investigation expanded, and information was obtained that additional drug evidence remained in Room 301.
Following a search, six pink-coloured ecstasy pills marked TMT, one plastic containing two pink and green ecstasy pills marked Heineken, four clip bags of ketamine, and four empty plastic bags were found.
Investigators delved into the drug procurement process at the nightclub, securing an LC initialled D for questioning.
The examination revealed that drugs could be obtained after assessment from the Captain of N CO Living by NIX initialled BCA.
“The team secured BCA, who served as the link between management and the apothecary or drug dealer initialled NGR,” he said.
It did not stop there, he continued; the drug transactions at the nightclub were authorised by the manager initialled SW.
The joint team then secured SW, obtaining statements that the narcotics distribution was carried out by individuals initialled GS alias Deksu alias Datin and NGR.
“They are not official staff of New Star, but they frequently stayed in Room 301 and distributed narcotics to visitors,” Eko revealed.
From the tracing, it was known that the drug distribution at the nightclub had been occurring since suspect NGR began working part-time at N CO Living by NIX in 2025.
NGR served as an apothecary delivering drugs to karaoke rooms for a fee of Rp100 per sale, paid in cash.
