The Indonesian National Police (Polri) is committed to continuously improving the quality of its services to the public, following the results of a Litbang Kompas survey that indicated an increase in public assessment of police service professionalism. Head of the Polri Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that the survey results represent a mandate for the police force to strengthen personnel professionalism, introduce service innovations, and ensure the public receives services that are increasingly easy, fast, and certain. “Public trust is a mandate that must be maintained through real work. Polri will continue to improve service quality by strengthening personnel professionalism, introducing service innovations, and ensuring the public receives services that are increasingly easy, fast, and certain,” Johnny said in Jakarta on Friday. The Public Perception Survey and Polri Performance Evaluation for the Second Quarter of 2026, conducted by Litbang Kompas, recorded an increase in the average assessment of Polri’s service professionalism from 7.76 in 2025 to 8.37 in 2026. According to Johnny, improvements in service quality will continue through the development of various innovations that make it easier for the public to access police services quickly, easily, and with a focus on service certainty. He stated that this achievement aligns with service improvement efforts made through strengthening the Integrated Police Service Centre (SPKT) Presisi as a one-stop service hub, standardising services across all regional units, reinforcing the 24-hour Call Centre 110, and conducting continuous service evaluations. The Litbang Kompas survey noted that the average public assessment of Polri’s service professionalism rose from 7.76 in 2025 to 8.37 in 2026. Positive assessments were given, among other things, for ease of accessing services, resolution of complaint reports, quality of service facilities, and the services received by the public. The survey results also showed that police administrative services remain the most utilised by the public. Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) services were the most frequently accessed, with a percentage of 53.1 per cent, followed by Driving Licences (SIM) at 37 per cent, Police Record Certificates (SKCK) at 27.1 per cent, loss reports at 23.1 per cent, and vehicle ownership transfer services (BPKB) at 14.7 per cent. The Public Perception Survey and Polri Performance Evaluation for the Second Quarter of 2026 was conducted by Litbang Kompas from 9 to 18 April 2026, involving 1,200 respondents, and was published in the Kompas daily on 26 June 2026.
