National Police Chief (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended an iftar (breaking of fast) gathering with the Confederation of All-Indonesia Labour Unions (KSBSI). The National Police Chief invited workers to support the government’s Asta Cita mission.

“The government is certainly continuing to push various programmes within the Asta Cita programme,” said General Sigit in his remarks at the Tribrata building in South Jakarta on Sunday (1 March 2026).

“We must also continue to build and create a conducive climate, which will then provide space and enable investment,” he added.

General Sigit encouraged workers to continue fighting for their rights. However, they must also maintain an investment climate so that it can continue to grow.

“For this reason, on one hand, colleagues must certainly continue to fight for what constitutes workers’ rights, but on the other hand we must also show the world, show investors what the situation is regarding the investment climate so that it too can grow,” he said.

General Sigit also mentioned the downstream processing (hilirisasi) programme that the government is currently promoting. The downstream processing programme is expected to open wide employment opportunities.

“Downstream processing programmes which are currently being driven are expected to open space and employment opportunities for our colleagues,” he noted.

The National Police Chief also expressed gratitude for the synergy with workers that has been established. He wished workers well in performing their Ramadan fast.

“And certainly, I express my thanks for the collaboration and synergy so that this activity can run well,” he said.
