National Police Chief Stresses Strengthening Synergy to Support Government Programmes
JAKARTA — National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the peak celebration of the Islamic Unity Organisation (PUI) anniversary and a national prayer gathering in Majalengka, West Java.
During the event, Sigit stressed the importance of strengthening synergy to support and safeguard all Indonesian government programmes.
Sigit emphasised that the success of all government programmes requires synergy and collaboration among all elements of the nation. He said this is the key to facing all challenges, both at the global and domestic levels.
“Going forward, let us all together become a cooling system, reminding one another so that we are not pitted against our fellow countrymen,” Sigit said on Monday (23/2/2026).
Sigit warned that if society continues to be divided, development and the aspiration towards Golden Indonesia will be difficult to achieve smoothly.
He therefore encouraged the preservation of Indonesia’s diversity so that it can become a strength for progress and development in a better direction.
“No matter how capable we are, no matter how capable each element of this nation is, if we stand alone and act with sectoral egos, it will be difficult to achieve progress. Progress can only happen if we are all harmonious and united,” Sigit said.
Sigit explained that President Prabowo Subianto has launched the Asta Cita priority programme to support the vision of an Advanced Indonesia towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
In this regard, he said, the National Police have also been actively involved in a number of government priority programmes, from food security through maize self-sufficiency to the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme via the National Police’s SPPG facilities.
Sigit therefore asked PUI to help monitor negative elements in society that could potentially hinder the Golden Indonesia 2045 aspiration — from online gambling and predatory online lending to narcotics.
“I hope PUI will truly participate actively in monitoring these three issues, as they pose a threat to the younger generation and to our nation. Why? Because we must follow the roadmap to realise the aspiration towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” Sigit concluded.
