National Police Chief Promotes Officer Who Uncovered 128 kg of Methamphetamine to Kotabaru Police Chief

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has promoted AKBP Ade Harri Sistriawan, the officer who uncovered 128 kilograms of methamphetamine from the Fredy Pratama network, to the position of Kotabaru Police Chief in the South Kalimantan Regional Police. The transfer of the Kotabaru Police Chief was based on the National Police Chief’s Telegram Letter number ST/1336/VI/KEP./2026 dated 25 June 2026, according to the Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Police, Commissioner Adam Erwindi, in Banjarbaru on Friday. Ade replaces AKBP Doli Martua Tanjung, who has been promoted to Deputy Director of Narcotics Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police. During his tenure as Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police, Ade was noted for uncovering several major narcotics distribution cases. In 2026, he again led the uncovering of three major narcotics cases with evidence totalling nearly 200 kilograms of methamphetamine. These cases included the smuggling of almost 30 kilograms of methamphetamine and 15,056 ecstasy pills in February 2026, the foiling of a 43.8-kilogram methamphetamine shipment from Malaysia in April 2026, and the uncovering of a 128-kilogram methamphetamine distribution operation in June 2026, which resulted in the arrest of five suspects. According to South Kalimantan Police records, the largest previous seizure occurred on 6 August 2020, with 300 kilograms of methamphetamine as evidence. As a form of appreciation, the South Kalimantan Police Chief has promised a special award to Ade and his team during the Bhayangkara Day commemoration on 1 July 2026, for their success in dismantling the narcotics network.
