National Police Chief Promotes 87 High-Ranking Officers, Four Attain Commissioner General Rank
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially promoted 87 high-ranking officers (Pati) to a higher rank. The promotion ceremony was held at the Main Meeting Room of the National Police Headquarters in South Jakarta today. Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Police Public Relations Division, stated that the promotions are a form of institutional appreciation for the dedication, integrity, and performance achievements of the high-ranking officers in serving the community, nation, and state. “A promotion is not merely an administrative award, but also a greater mandate and responsibility. The institution hopes that the promoted high-ranking officers can further strengthen the Precise Police transformation, improve the quality of public services, and maintain professionalism in carrying out their duties,” said Brigadier General Trunoyudo in a statement on Tuesday (30/6/2026). Of the 87 promoted high-ranking officers, four officially attained the rank of Commissioner General (Komjen), or three-star general. Additionally, 30 officers were promoted to Inspector General (Irjen), or two-star general, and 53 officers were promoted to Brigadier General (Brigjen), or one-star general. The four officers who now hold the rank of Commissioner General are Komjen Mulia Hasudungan Ritonga, Komjen Gatot Tri Suryanta, Komjen Helmy Santika, and Komjen Rudi Setiawan. Trunoyudo added that these promotions are part of career development and efforts to strengthen the organisation in response to increasingly dynamic challenges. He noted that the current dynamics of security challenges demand adaptive and collaborative leadership, with the police expected to deliver solutions that have a direct impact on the public. “This promotion momentum is expected to further strengthen organisational solidarity and serve as motivation for all personnel to continue providing the best service to the community, nation, and state,” Trunoyudo said. He added that the promotions are part of the National Police’s strategy to strengthen superior human resources, aimed at supporting police duties to become more modern, responsive, and oriented towards the public interest.
