National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is preparing personnel to maintain public order and security (kamtibmas) during the 2026 Eid holiday exodus. He stated that security measures are being implemented both aboard ferries and at several high-risk locations in Lampung.

“On one side, we are also preparing security measures aboard ships, and there are also recommendations regarding the Lampung region where certain areas may need to be anticipated due to potential public order risks. We have also prepared personnel for these areas,” Sigit said at Merak Port in Cilegon, Banten, on Friday 13 March 2026.

Sigit stated that the police have established service posts at Merak Port and various points along the exodus routes during Operation Ketupat 2026. He invited the public to utilise these posts for rest during their journey home.

“Please continue to take advantage of the services we have available, including field kitchen services and the posts we have established. If members of the public wish to rest, please use these facilities,” he said.

Sigit expressed hope that the holiday travel would proceed safely and smoothly. He stated that the National Police and various agencies are working to ensure safe and comfortable travel in accordance with the guidance of President Prabowo Subianto.

“It is hoped that this exodus will be truly conducted in a safe and smooth manner. All stakeholders, in accordance with the President’s guidance, will provide maximum service possible,” he said.
