National Police Chief Orders Severe Punishment for Brimob Officer Who Assaulted Child
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has instructed his subordinates to impose the severest possible punishment on Brimob (Mobile Brigade) officer Bripda Masias Siahaya (MS), who is suspected of assaulting a student in Maluku until the victim died.
βYes, I have ordered that the harshest possible action be taken,β Sigit said in Majalengka, West Java, on Monday (23/2).
Sigit also stated that he had instructed the Maluku Regional Police Chief and the Head of the Professional and Security Division to thoroughly investigate the case.
In this regard, the matter will be investigated from both criminal and police code of ethics perspectives.
According to Sigit, the firm and severe punishment serves one purpose: to deliver a sense of justice for the victim.
