National Police Chief Opens One-Way Traffic for Lebaran Return Flow, Encourages Public to Use Available Facilities
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has officially opened the national one-way traffic engineering for the Lebaran 2026 return flow. Travellers returning home can utilise several available facilities.
“Of course, our hope is that those undertaking the return journey will continue to maintain security and safety,” said General Sigit after conducting the flag-off for the national one-way system at Kalikangkung Toll Gate, Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday (24/3/2026).
General Sigit explained the available facilities, such as rest areas, service posts, and integrated posts. With these numerous facilities, the public can rest to avoid fatigue while driving.
“Utilise all the facilities provided by the government, whether at rest areas, service posts, or integrated posts, so that if anyone is tired, we hope they can rest and not force themselves,” he stated.
General Sigit also mentioned that the public can take advantage of the work-from-anywhere (WFA) policy. It is hoped that return travellers can avoid journeys on this day and the two other predicted peak return flow days.
“So, if there are members of the public who wish to choose to travel home, please utilise tomorrow, 25th, 26th, and 27th,” he said.
It is known that the flag-off ceremony for the national one-way return flow took place at 14:25 WIB. This one-way engineering is implemented from Km 414 at Kalikangkung Toll Gate to Km 70 at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate.
