Samarinda (ANTARA) - The Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, expressed his hope that the presence of the Tunggal Panuluan Presisi Police Barracks in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, will directly enhance the quality of service provided by police officers in protecting the local community. “I hope this newly completed barracks building can motivate members to provide optimal operational services for public security and order,” said Listyo during his visit to Samarinda on Monday.

This modern and representative residential building is specifically designated for officers, including commissioned and non-commissioned officers, who are currently single. Listyo noted that the physical living conditions for these law enforcement officers have undergone a significant transformation, becoming much improved and more habitable compared to previous periods.

The construction of this police residential facility was realised through the continuous hard work and synergy between the Mayor of Samarinda, the Regional Police Chief, and the local Police Chief. “This police infrastructure project was successfully realised thanks to strong support through grants from the local government,” said Listyo.

He added that the new building is projected to inject positive energy into the residents, enabling them to fulfil their responsibilities in the field. Listyo emphasised that the high-standard supporting facilities provided must be maintained with strict discipline to ensure their long-term benefits.

The four-star General also expressed his gratitude to the local Regional Leadership Coordination Forum for their close collaboration. “Strategic partnerships between government institutions are the primary key to ensuring a conducive situation for the protection of civilians at all times,” he stated.

According to the National Police Chief, maintaining regional security stability is believed to boost the smooth implementation of all ongoing regional development programmes. He urged police personnel to continue increasing their professional dedication to provide the most honourable service to the institution.
