National Police Chief Meets Prabowo at Palace, Reports on Current Security Situation

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo visited the Presidential Palace to meet with President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday (25/6). During the agenda, Listyo reported the latest developments regarding the security and public order situation in various regions of Indonesia to Prabowo. In a post on the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram account, Prabowo was seen accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya when receiving Listyo’s arrival. “President Prabowo Subianto received the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday, 25 June 2026,” the post stated. “In the meeting, the National Police Chief reported the latest developments regarding the security and public order situation in various regions of Indonesia. The report covered the national security and public order conditions as well as various measures continuously undertaken by the National Police to maintain stability and support the smooth running of the national development agenda,” it continued. Additionally, Listyo reportedly briefed on the preparations for the National Police’s anniversary or Hari Bhayangkara, the peak of which falls on 1 July. Listyo informed Prabowo that in the context of the Police anniversary, the force has prepared social and community service activities across Indonesia to commemorate the moment of the police’s service to the nation and state.
