National Police Chief Leads Handover Ceremony for Key Positions
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Police Chief, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, led a handover ceremony for several positions, ranging from the National Police Chief’s Assistant for Operations (Astamaops Kapolri) to the National Police Chief’s Assistant for Human Resources (As SDM Kapolri) at Rupattama Polri Headquarters, South Jakarta, on Wednesday.
National Police Spokesperson, Inspector General Pol. Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that the handover ceremony is part of organisational dynamics and an effort to maintain the continuity of policing duties.
“This change is a career development process as well as an organisational refreshment to ensure the organisational wheels continue to run optimally in providing service, protection, and guidance to the community,” said Isir in his statement.
He noted that today’s handover covers several strategic positions, both at the National Police Headquarters level and within regional jurisdictions.
Meanwhile, the position of North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief will now be held by Brigadier General Pol. Yudo Hermanto, who previously served as the Head of Paminal at the Polri Internal Affairs Division.
Changes also occurred in the position of National Police Chief’s Assistant for Human Resources. Inspector General Pol. Anwar has entered retirement, and his position is replaced by Inspector General Pol. Jawari, who previously served as the Chief Instructor of the Police Main Level I at the Polri Education and Training Institute (Sespim Lemdiklat Polri).
Additionally, Inspector General Pol. Herry Rudolf Nahak has retired from his position as the Coordinator of the National Police Chief’s Expert Staff (Koorsahli). This position will be filled by Inspector General Pol. Ruslan Effendi, who previously served as the National Police Chief’s Expert Staff for Social and Political Affairs.
Regarding regional positions, Brigadier General Pol. Yulius Audie Sonny Latuheru, formerly the South West Papua Regional Police Chief, has been assigned as the Chief Instructor of the Police Main Level I at the Polri Education and Training Institute.
The South West Papua Regional Police Chief position will now be held by Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Hengki Haryadi, who previously served as the Deputy Chief of the Riau Regional Police.
Furthermore, several other positions undergoing changes include the Head of Headquarters Services (Kayanma) of the National Police, the Head of the Operational Development Bureau (Karobinopsnal) of the National Police Security Division (Baharkam Polri), and the Head of the Security and Escort Division (Kabagpamwal) of the Provos Bureau within the Polri Internal Affairs Division.
Following this handover, Johnny stated that every official receiving new mandates is expected to quickly adapt to their duties and responsibilities and continue ongoing programmes.
“Every position is a mandate and a responsibility that must be carried out with full integrity, professionalism, and commitment. The National Police hope that the new officials can immediately carry out their duties and provide the best contribution to the organisation and the community,” he said.
