National Police Chief Leads Handover Ceremony for Key Officials including West Papua South Chief of Police
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo led the handover ceremony for several key officials of the Indonesian National Police Headquarters. Among those undergoing the handover was Inspector General Roycke Harry Langie, who officially assumed the role of Assistant to the Chief of Police for Operations (Astamaops), replacing Commissioner General Fadil Imran.
The handover ceremony was held at the Rupattama of the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (2/9/2026). The Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that the change in positions is part of career development and organisational refreshment within the police force.
“The handover of positions is part of the dynamics of the National Police organisation. This change is a process of career development as well as organisational refreshment to ensure that the organisational wheels continue to run optimally in providing service, protection, and guidance to the community,” said Isir.
Isir noted that every new official has been requested to begin work immediately and maintain integrity. He added that the new officials are expected to provide their best contributions.
“Every position is a mandate and a responsibility that must be carried out with full integrity, professionalism, and commitment,” said Isir.
The following is the list of officials undergoing the handover:
Assistant to the Chief of Police for Operations: from Commissioner General Fadil Imran to Inspector General Roycke Harry Langie, who previously served as North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief. Inspector General Roycke replaces Commissioner General Fadil, who is due to retire.
North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief: from Inspector General Roycke to Brigadier General Yudo Hermanto, who previously served as Head of Paminal at the Police Discipline Division.
West Papua Regional Police Chief: from Brigadier General Yulius Audie Sonny Latuheru to Brigadier General Hengki Haryadi. Brigadier General Yulius will serve as a Senior Police Instructor at the Police Education and Training Institute.
Assistant to the Chief of Police for Human Resources: from Inspector General Anwar to Inspector General Jawari. Inspector General Anwar is set to retire.
Coordinator of Experts to the Chief of Police: from Inspector General Herry Rudolf Nahak to Inspector General Ruslan Effendi.
Several other positions also handed over during the occasion included the Head of the National Police Secretariat, Head of Operational Binopsnal at the National Police Security Division, and Head of Security for Provincial Operations at the Police Discipline Division.
