National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo directly inspected preparations for the 2026 Eid exodus at Kalikangkung Toll Gate in Semarang, Central Java, on Monday 16 March 2026 afternoon. General Sigit ensured that all infrastructure and personnel were ready to provide the best service to the public.

At the location, the National Police Chief received a detailed briefing from the Director of PT Jasa Marga Semarang-Batang concerning toll road conditions and a briefing from the Traffic Police Director of Central Java Police headquarters regarding security strategies and mapping of congestion-prone areas.

After receiving these reports, General Sigit issued firm directives to ensure cross-sectoral coordination continued to be strengthened. The National Police Chief also instructed all ranks to ensure dynamic traffic management to anticipate increases in vehicle volume. He asked everyone to work hard to ensure travellers remained safe and secure on the road until they reached their home villages.

After providing directives, the National Police Chief moved towards the toll gate area to personally greet the travellers. Accompanied by the Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ribut Hari Wibowo, General Sigit engaged in warm dialogue with several drivers queuing at the toll gate.

General Sigit had brief conversations with drivers to ensure smooth journeys to their home villages. This step was part of the National Police’s efforts to provide humanistic service during the exodus period.

The National Police Chief appeared to greet travellers from Bali passing through Kalikangkung Toll Gate. While distributing gifts, General Sigit did not forget to convey safety messages to the travellers.

“Where are you coming from?” asked the National Police Chief.

“From Bali, Sir. Going to see relatives,” said the driver.

“Drive carefully, Sir,” replied the National Police Chief whilst shaking hands.

The National Police Chief also greeted travellers from Jakarta passing through Kalikangkung Toll Gate. The travellers, who departed with their families, reported that their journey had been smooth.

“Thank you, Sir,” they said upon receiving Eid gifts from the National Police Chief.

Also accompanying the National Police Chief during the inspection at Kalikangkung Toll Gate were the Head of Internal Security Apparatus Command Inspector General Yuda Gustawan, Deputy Chief of Operations Inspector General Mohamad Fadil Imran, Deputy Chief of Human Resources Inspector General Anwar, Head of Public Relations Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, and Head of Traffic Police Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho.
