National Police Chief Inaugurates New Head of Training and Education Agency and Five Regional Police Chiefs

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, led the inauguration and handover ceremony for several key positions at the National Police Headquarters and a number of regional police chiefs in Rupatama, National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, on Sunday (17/5/2026).

As quoted from the Indonesian Police’s public relations statement, one of the high-ranking officers inaugurated was Komjen Panca Putra as the Head of the National Police Training and Education Agency.

In addition, five regional police chiefs were also inaugurated, namely Brigjen Nasri as the Regional Police Chief of Central Sulawesi, and Brigjen Himawan Bayu Aji as the Regional Police Chief of Southeast Sulawesi.

The National Police Chief also inaugurated Kombes Yudi Arkara Oktabera as the Head of the National Police Headquarters Service.

The Head of Public Relations of the Indonesian Police, Irjen Johnny Eddizon Isir, said that personnel changes and rotations are part of the dynamics of the Indonesian Police organization in order to develop careers and strengthen the institution.

Johnny explained that the change of officials within the Indonesian Police is also part of the institution’s efforts to continuously improve professionalism, internal solidarity, and the effectiveness of task implementation in various regions.

“With the experience and competence possessed by the inaugurated officers and those carrying out the handover ceremony today, we are optimistic that the organization’s performance will be even better and able to answer various challenges in the future,” he said.
