National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inspected mudik readiness at Merak Port, Banten, greeting homebound travellers and distributing gifts during the visit.

General Sigit arrived with his delegation on Friday, 13 March 2026, accompanied by Commander of the Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Interior Minister Tito Karnavian, Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi, and other officials.

General Sigit subsequently inspected Executive Pier 6 at Merak Port, which handles private vehicles and pedestrians. Within the port area, he greeted waiting passengers, smiling and shaking hands with travellers. Passengers received gifts from General Sigit, and he also distributed toys to children accompanying their families on the journey home.

Police Chief Emphasises Solidarity

Previously, the National Police Chief stressed that solidarity is key to the success of Operation Ketupat 2026. For him, Operation Ketupat is a collective responsibility.

“To that end, we must continuously strengthen our solidarity and synergy in carrying out every duty. Together, let us realise safe travel and happy families,” said General Sigit in his address at the Military Assembly at the National Monument in central Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

General Sigit expressed gratitude and the highest appreciation to all personnel involved in the combined security operations of Operation Ketupat 2026, ranging from Armed Forces personnel to Basarnas (National Search and Rescue Agency).

“To the assembly participants and honourable guests, before concluding this message, I wish to express my thanks and highest appreciation to all combined security personnel, including those from the Armed Forces, National Police, relevant ministries, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency, the Meteorological Climatological and Geophysical Agency, Basarnas, Pertamina, Jasa Raharja, Jasa Marga, Civil Service Police, Transportation Offices, Health Offices, fire services, scouts, and all other partners in law and order who have participated in supporting Operation Ketupat 2026,” he said.
