National Police Chief Distributes 6,000 Social Aid Packages for 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo distributed 6,000 social assistance packages (bansos) to mark the 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary. The handover took place during the peak Health Service event attended by thousands of residents at SEPOLWAN, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (23/6). On that occasion, Sigit stated that the National Police is committed to continuously providing the best health services to the public. “We (the National Police) are certainly committed to providing the best services, particularly in the health sector, both for the public and for our personnel, so that their health is always maintained and they remain in prime condition to carry out their daily duties in serving the community,” he said in a written statement on Wednesday (24/6). Sigit explained that the health service programme for the 80th Bhayangkara Day has been conducted simultaneously across Indonesia from 1 June to 1 July 2026, involving approximately 5,354 health workers. He noted that a total of 664,975 health services have been provided, including free health check-ups, general medical treatment, dental examinations, specialist examinations and treatment, cataract surgery, cleft lip surgery, minor surgery, blood donation, laboratory tests, mass circumcision, and the distribution of vitamins and immunity packages. Additionally, other health services covered stunting checks, family planning and maternal-child health counselling, provision of free eyeglasses, tuberculosis (TBC) screening and treatment, and the provision of assistive devices for persons with disabilities. At the peak event held on Tuesday, around 8,000 residents attended and received health services. During the occasion, the National Police also launched the Bhayangkara Priority Worker Card, which workers can use to access health services at all National Police hospitals across Indonesia. “Specifically for workers, we are providing a card named the Bhayangkara Priority Worker Card, so that workers can undergo health check-ups at all National Police hospital services throughout Indonesia,” he stated. According to Sigit, the card represents a form of commitment and cooperation by the National Police in supporting access to health services for workers nationwide. At the same event, Sigit also inaugurated the Bhayangkara Hospital in the regency. The presence of this hospital is expected to improve health services for the community while supporting the health needs of National Police personnel.
