National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the 53rd anniversary celebration of the All-Indonesia Workers’ Union Confederation (KSPSI), held at PT Victor Chinglu Indonesia in Pasar Kemis, Tangerang Regency. The Police Chief expressed his appreciation for the company’s support of workers’ welfare.

“I would like to thank the management of PT Chinglu. I received information that they have been outstanding in supporting the welfare of workers,” said General Sigit, who also serves as Chairman of the KSPSI Advisory Board, following the event on Monday (16/2/2026).

“Among other things, for workers who have completed their service and retired, the company provides severance packages amounting to twice the amount stipulated by government regulations,” he continued.

General Sigit expressed his hope that the company’s approach could serve as a good example. On the same occasion, he outlined the government’s commitment to continuing to open up new employment opportunities for workers affected by redundancies through various programmes.

“These include programmes related to creating job opportunities, both formal and informal, downstream industrial programmes and other programmes which we hope can also provide opportunities for people to obtain employment,” he said.

“And the hope is, of course, that by promoting job creation, this will generate a multiplier effect for economic growth,” he added.

Furthermore, General Sigit conveyed the National Police’s commitment regarding workers’ rights. He pledged to continue striving to realise the welfare of workers.

“On this 53rd anniversary, our hope is that the struggle of all our colleagues, the struggle of our fellow workers to realise worker prosperity, is certainly our collective endeavour. Therefore, the National Police will continue to support the cause of all our fellow workers,” the Police Chief explained.

Additionally, General Sigit emphasised the importance of fostering a healthy and sustainable business and investment climate in Indonesia. With such growth, it is hoped that more job opportunities will open up, directly benefiting the welfare of workers.

“And this is certainly our shared aspiration, which is why we also want to encourage the business climate and investment climate in Indonesia to truly grow, so as to open up the widest possible employment opportunities,” he said.
