Jakarta — National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has directed police personnel to conduct regular patrols to prevent security and public order disturbances during the 2026 Eid season.

Speaking at the Operation Ketupat 2026 troop inspection ceremony held at the Monas roundabout in Central Jakarta on Thursday, he stated that vulnerability mapping has identified several predicted public order threats.

These threats include conventional crime, racketeering, illegal racing, and inter-group fighting. Consequently, he ordered regular patrol operations.

“Conduct regular patrols involving community security volunteers, particularly at vulnerable locations and times,” he said.

Additionally, he instructed personnel to catalogue empty houses vacated by holiday travellers and to establish motorcycle parking services for the public.

“Provide motorcycle parking services at police stations and other government offices to give citizens peace of mind,” he stated.

The Police Corps commander further called for optimised hotline services on the 110 emergency number to deliver responsive and solution-oriented police services.

“So that the public can experience our presence, whether in reporting situation developments or resolving various community issues,” he added.

On Thursday, the TNI-Police joint forces and relevant stakeholders conducted the troop inspection to ensure personnel readiness for Operation Ketupat 2026.

Operation Ketupat 2026 will run for 13 days, from 13 March to 25 March 2026, involving 161,243 combined personnel.

The Police have prepared 2,746 posts comprising 1,624 security posts, 779 service posts, and 343 integrated posts.

As a focal point for public information and services during holiday travel, security will be concentrated on 185,607 locations including mosques, Eid prayer sites, tourist attractions, shopping centres, terminals, ports, railway stations, and airports.
