National Police Chief Attends Thanksgiving Ceremony for Inauguration of Kompolnas' New Office

The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) held a thanksgiving ceremony for the inauguration of its new office in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta. Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the ceremony.

The thanksgiving event took place at Kompolnas’ new office, Graha Sentana, Duren Tiga, on Tuesday (5/5/2026). Sigit arrived at the location around 09:48 WIB.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) and Kompolnas Chairman Djamari Chaniago was also present at the venue. Additionally, former Kompolnas Daily Chairman Irjen (Ret.) Benny Mamoto and former Deputy Police Chief General (Ret.) Ahmad Dofiri attended.

Furthermore, Chairman of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) Achmadi and Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Arifah Fauzi were also seen at the thanksgiving ceremony.

A number of senior Indonesian National Police (Polri) officials were also in attendance, including Inspector General of Police Wahyu Widada (Irwasum), Deputy Chief of National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Komjen Syahardiantono, Head of Polri Professional and Security Division Irjen Abdul Karim, and Metro Jaya Police Chief Irjen Asep Edi Suheri.

Kompolnas member Choirul Anam previously explained that the office relocation had long been planned. He stated that the old office was no longer sufficient to accommodate the existing staff.

“Actually, from the beginning, we wanted to have our own office. Especially here, in terms of representation, the number of all our staff and our members doesn’t fit; it’s cramped,” said Anam, or Cak Anam, during a press conference at the Kompolnas office in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Monday (5/1).

Cak Anam said the cramped conditions were deemed to prevent Kompolnas from performing at its maximum capacity. Ultimately, Kompolnas agreed to relocate the office, adjusting to the available budget.

“Work also cannot be maximal. Therefore, yesterday we decided, since there is a budget, we rented that office, the Sentana building, in Graha Sentana,” Anam stated.
