National Police Chief Attends Persis Brigade Basic Training Closing, Calls for Unity

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the closing ceremony of the national basic education and training (Diklatsarnas) for the Central Command of the Persis Brigade at the Brimob Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java. General Sigit stressed the importance of safeguarding national unity and integrity. "On every occasion, I always emphasise the need to uphold the values of unity and integrity. Therefore, I also hope the Persis Brigade can work together with the National Police to maintain harmony and unity, as well as support the realisation of all government programmes and a conducive security and public order situation," he said on Monday. General Sigit stated that this activity also serves to strengthen the relationship and synergy between the National Police, the Persis Brigade, and all elements of society. He noted this aligns with the fifth message delivered by President Prabowo Subianto during the 80th Bhayangkara Day celebrations, which called on the police institution to strengthen synergy with all societal elements. "This is the National Police’s commitment to continuously strengthen synergy with all elements of society, as per the President’s message," he said. Furthermore, General Sigit requested the Persis Brigade to continuously improve the quality of its human resources to face the challenges of the times, especially as Indonesia approaches a demographic bonus. He also stressed that maintaining unity and enhancing synergy aims to realise the Golden Indonesia vision by 2045. "Amidst the challenges of information technology development, the Persis Brigade is expected to become a pioneer in improving digital literacy within the community," he said. During the event, General Sigit witnessed the pledge and oath-taking by all participants of the 2026 Persis Brigade Central Command Diklatsarnas. He also struck a gavel on the podium three times to officially mark the closing of the event.
