JAKARTA — National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended an iftar gathering organised jointly with Indonesia’s labour confederations at the Tri Brata Building in Jakarta on Sunday, 1 March 2026.

The event was attended by Elly Rosita Silaban, President of the All-Indonesia Labour Confederation (KSBSI), the President of the Indonesian Workers’ Confederation (KSPI), and numerous leaders from labour federation organisations.

“I wish to express my gratitude for this iftar organised between KSBSI and the National Police. This represents our continued efforts to strengthen the relations that have been consistently maintained,” said Sigit.

Sigit emphasised the need for heightened vigilance in light of American and Israeli military strikes against Iran, noting that such developments would have repercussions for global economics and security.

“We must therefore be prepared to face these circumstances and remain cautious amid the prevailing situation,” he stated.

In her remarks, KSBSI President Elly Rosita noted that the event served not merely as an iftar with the National Police Chief, but also as an occasion to provide assistance to orphaned children. She expressed appreciation for the National Police Chief and his personnel for facilitating the iftar gathering, which proceeded respectfully and modestly.

“We also pledge that we shall continue to stand behind the National Police to support the police under the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” she said.
