National Police Chief Attends KSPSI 53rd Anniversary Celebration in Purwakarta
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the 53rd anniversary celebration of the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers’ Unions (KSPSI). The event also commemorated Indonesian Workers’ Day (Harpekindo), which falls on 20 February each year.
The celebration was held at the KSPSI Training Centre in Jatiluhur, Purwakarta, West Java, on Saturday (21/2/2026). General Sigit and his entourage arrived at approximately 4.40pm local time and were immediately greeted with a welcome dance.
General Sigit’s attendance, accompanied by senior officials from National Police Headquarters, was hosted by KSPSI President Andi Gani Nena Wea. Also present were Purwakarta Regent Saepul Bahri Binzein, West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan, and members of the National Police’s Labour Affairs Desk.
General Sigit, who also serves as Chairman of the KSPSI Advisory Board, received an enthusiastic welcome from the workers. “Welcome, Sir Police Chief,” the workers chanted repeatedly.
According to the event programme, General Sigit was scheduled to inaugurate members of the KSPSI Advisory Board, followed by the cutting of the KSPSI anniversary cake and breaking of the fast together with the workers.
