National Police Chief Appoints AKBP Mubiarto Banu as Head of Bima City Police
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has officially appointed AKBP Mubiarto Banu Kristanto as Head of Bima City Police, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Mubiarto replaces AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who was implicated in a narcotics case.
“Yes, that is correct,” confirmed Acting Head of Bima City Police AKBP Hariyanto when contacted on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
Mubiarto’s appointment as the new Head of Bima City Police is contained in a Police Telegram (ST) from the National Police Chief, numbered ST/440/II/KEP./2026 and dated 27 February 2026.
In the telegram, Mubiarto Banu Kristanto, who previously served as Head of Traffic Enforcement Operations at NTB Regional Police, replaces AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who was transferred to become a Personnel Officer (Pamen) of the Police’s Personnel and Organisational Division.
Previously, Didik had been subjected to dishonourable discharge proceedings by the Police Code of Ethics Commission based on findings related to the narcotics trafficking case that implicated him. The Police cited the transfer to facilitate the administrative process for Didik’s dismissal.
The position of Head of Bima City Police had been filled in an acting capacity following Didik’s entanglement in the narcotics case and his designation as a suspect. The NTB Regional Police Commander, Inspector General Edy Murbowo, initially appointed AKBP Catur Erwin Setiawan as Acting Head of Bima City Police. However, after just one week in the role, Catur was replaced by Deputy Commander of the Police’s Mobile Brigade Unit (Brimob) at NTB Regional Police, AKBP Hariyanto.
