National One-Way Traffic Scheme for Eid Holiday Rush Begins Tomorrow
Indonesia’s Traffic Police (Korlantas Polri) will implement a national one-way traffic scheme during the 2026 Eid holiday rush beginning tomorrow at 10:00 AM.
“I have coordinated with the Minister and the managing director of Jasa Marga that the peak outbound traffic is estimated to be on 18 March. So on 18 March between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM we will implement a national one-way outbound traffic scheme,” said Head of Korlantas Traffic Police Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho whilst inspecting KM 57 A of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road on Monday (16 March 2026).
The following is the schedule for the national one-way scheme during the 2026 Eid holiday rush:
Wednesday, 18 March 2026
- From 10:00 AM
Inspector General Agus explained that the authorities will continue monitoring the number of travellers passing through. Regarding the return traffic during Eid, Inspector General Agus said he would assess traffic conditions before deciding whether to implement one-way restrictions.
“When traffic technology infrastructure and accounting can be controlled, it might also be possible to change to a national one-way or a phased partial one-way scheme, which we will certainly announce. However, the plan for a national one-way outbound scheme is 18 March,” he stated.
Contraflow and Odd-Even Schedule for 2026 Eid Holiday Rush
Previously, the Ministry of Transport (Kemenhub) announced the contraflow and odd-even schedule during the 2026 Eid holiday outbound and return traffic. Here are the details:

Outbound traffic
• First period: Tuesday, 17 March 2026 from 2:00 PM until Friday, 20 March 2026 at 12:00 AM
• Second period: Saturday, 21 March 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Sunday, 22 March 2026 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Applies to Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section from KM 47 (West Karawang) to KM 70 (Cikampek)
Return traffic
• Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section KM 70-KM 47: Monday, 23 March 2026 from 2:00 PM until Sunday, 29 March 2026 at 12:00 AM
• Jagorawi toll road section KM 21 (Gunung Putri)-KM 8 (Cipayung): Tuesday, 24 March 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Sunday, 29 March 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM
