Karawang (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is optimising operations at Gerbang Tol (GT) Cikampek Utama following the implementation of the national one-way traffic engineering during the Lebaran return flow period.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in a statement in Karawang, West Java, on Tuesday, confirmed the readiness of GT Cikampek Utama operations to welcome the national one-way traffic scheme.

During this Lebaran return flow, the national one-way scheme is applied from KM 414 GT Kalikangkung on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road to KM 70 GT Cikampek Utama on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

She stated that as the final barrier toll gate receiving vehicle flow from the Trans Java Toll Road towards Jakarta, GT Cikampek Utama becomes one of the key nodes in traffic management during the Lebaran return flow period.

According to her, adjustments to the booth operations at GT Cikampek Utama are made to anticipate a surge in vehicle volume from the eastern Trans Java region towards Jakarta.

To support the national one-way traffic engineering for the return flow, JTT is optimising the operation of transaction booths at GT Cikampek Utama with 22 booths serving the Jakarta direction and eight booths serving the Trans Java direction.

This arrangement is intended to facilitate the distribution of vehicles heading to Jakarta during the Lebaran return flow period.

β€œThe operation of these toll gates is implemented situationally, taking into account on-site traffic conditions and the results of coordination with the police,” she said.

JTT is also preparing 19 Mobile Reader (MR) units at GT Cikampek Utama to accelerate transaction processes if there is an increase in vehicle volume.

In addition, operational personnel are on standby in the field to manage traffic, assist road users, and ensure that toll gate transactions run optimally.

Traffic condition monitoring is conducted in real time through CCTV integrated with the traffic control centre to ensure services continue to run smoothly during the return flow period.
